COMPUTER USE AND PRIVACY POLICY

YAC Web Site Privacy and Rules of Use

  i.  The official Domain Name for the Yorktown Athletic Club is www.yacsports.org.

    ii.       On a contractual basis, the YAC Board will selcect it's vendor of choice to be the Host Service Provider for the yacsports.org web-site. 

   iii.        The YAC takes user privacy seriously. The YAC Privacy and Terms of Use Policy for its web-site can be found on the YAC Home Page under Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. By willingly using the yacsports.org web-site, each YAC Member user has agreed to an Implied Use Agreement. All active YAC Members are expected to abide by all YAC policies and procedures at all times.

   iv.        Any YAC Member user who is found to be in violation of the YAC Privacy and Terms of Use Policy, is subject to disciplinary action by the YAC through the Code of Conduct Disciplinary Process.  Any YAC Member user or other non-member user who is found to be in violation of any/all applicable local, state or federal law laws, may also be subject to investigation and criminal prosecution as determined by the law. 

    v.        The guiding principal of the YAC is that any/all contact information is and should remain private, and that our users shall be free of unsolicited emails.

   vi.        Only registered YAC Representatives (Sport Commissioners for their designee) can determine which information is to be displayed on the YAC web-site and which users they choose to exchange information with. A non-authorized user will not be able to display or modify any information on our web-site without obtaining permission to do so from the registered YAC Sport Commissioner. 

 vii.        Any/all applicable YAC data that is entered or stored through the yacsports.com web-site, will be stored in a secure database environment that is monitored and controlled by the YAC  and the contracted Host Service Provider.

viii.        When a registered YAC Representative uploads any/all contact information onto the web-site, the data will only be used for the YAC’s specific use, and will never be shared by the YAC or the Y.A.C’s contracted hosting service provider. This agreement is enforceable based on the confidentiality agreement signed by both parties. Hence, the Y.A.C and its Host Service Provider will not sell or distribute any user’s contact information to a direct marketer or third party.

   ix.        Through the Implied web-site Use Agreement, all Registered YAC Representatives and all YAC Member users are hereby notified that they are not permitted to act as a source of unsolicited e-mail (or Spam email) for their own personal use. The YAC (through its Registered Representatives) will however use the yacSports web-site and member email address’s to facilitate any/all communication processes, as they may pertain to any/all YAC sanctioned activities. 

    x.        At any time, a YAC Member can request that a YAC Registered Representative edit or delete their e-mail contact information.
